The Islamic Community Center of Illinois is seeking a qualified Imam who lives in the U.S and fluent in English and has a strong background in Islamic Studies.
Requirements:
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Degree or certification in Islamic Studies (or equivalent qualification)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to deliver khutbahs, lead prayers, and engage with youth and community members
• Previous experience serving as an Imam or community leader preferred
Responsibilities:
• Lead daily prayers, Friday khutbahs, and special Islamic events
• Provide religious guidance, counseling, and community support
• Teach Islamic classes and lead educational programs
• Participate in community outreach and interfaith activities
